Alas a beautiful day for the festival! It seems like it has been just about forever since we have had a rainless festival day and this year the weather was absolutely perfect. The sun shown brightly all day for the large crowd that came out to the Mount to spend the day.

The flow of cars and people began early and continued steadily throughout the day. The "Kiddie Korral" was a highlight for many young children as they had their faces painted and played games for prizes. The game booths for the older folk also saw plenty of action and the food flowed at a steady pace from the kitchen.

The theme for this years Fall Festival was "Journeys End Just the Beginning". This year marks the 50th anniversary of Rex Olsen's gift of his "Journey's End" farm to the Benedictine Monks of Conception Abbey which founded Mount Michael. Much has happened in the last 50 years for which we are quite grateful, none of which could have happened without the great generosity of Mr. Olsen.
