50th Anniversary Celebration

Recently we invited the religious communitiesof the Archdiocese to join us for Vespers & a buffet in celebrating the anniversary of Mount Michael Abbey's founding.

Everyone gathered in the chapel for Vespers at 5:00 PM. It was really wonderful to have so many voices join in singing the psalms and hymns. Abbot Theodore gave a few remarks after the reading and Fr. Richard presented a "brief" history of Mount Michael.

After prayer we gathered in the dining rooms and enjoyed visiting and munching on the great entrees and desserts prepared my the monks and cooks. Bro. Jerome, Fr. John, Bro. August, and Bro. August's parents spent much of the day cooking.

It was a delightful evening of fellowship.
