On Sunday October 18th the monastic community and guests gathered at the new bell tower for a blessing and dedication ceremony. The tower provides a permanent home for our abbey bell (see March 2009 story) as well as a campus focal point and memorial to the many persons past, present and future who support Mount Michael Abbey & School. The construction of the tower was made possible through the generosity of Joe and Ada McDermott & Family. Architectural design was provided by Jim Classe '84 & Prochaska and Associates. The General Contractor was Mike Emanuel and Meco-Henne Contracting, Inc.
