On Saturday November 7, 2009 Mount Michael Abbey's Bro. August Schaefer OSB was installed as Lector at St. John's Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota. Bro August is currently studying for the priesthood at St. John's University. Lector is one of the first steps toword the Priesthood.

Studying with Bro. August at St. John's is Bro. Gregory Congote OSB. Bro. Gregory will be installed as a transitional deacon this coming May at Mount Michael Abbey by Bishop George Lucas of Omaha.
