On the evening of June 17th St. John's/Mt. Michael Alumnus, Fr. Owen Korte, pastor of St. Patrick's Church in Fremont, hosted Vespers and a cookout for the Monastic Community. After the Vesper service Fr. Korte gave a tour of the new Church explaining the various artistic and symbolic aspect of the church's art and architecture. Those monks with special interests were also even given a tour of the state of the art heating and cooling facilities.

         After the tour the monks gathered in the community room for appetizers followed by a wonderful steak dinner. The monastic community is quite grateful to Fr. Korte for hosting this outing and is quite impressed with the beauty and liturgical grace of the new church.
